Petting Zoo

We took a little trip to the petting zoo in Douglas called Doodle and Boo Saturday.  We really didn't have any expectations but it was Awesome! They had a lot more animals than I ever would have thought.  I recommend if you live in the area to go there too.  Sloan and I enjoyed it just as much as Ella I think.  We weren't sure if Ella would really like it or not but when we walked over to the goats first she started running towards them yelling "SHEEP!!" so then we knew we were good to go.  We will definitely be going back.

Ella's World Lately

This post is going to be really random and all over the place.  I'm attempting to put about 5 months worth of stuff in this one post. I've been slacking on taking pictures with my camera so a lot of these pictures are from my iPhone and not the best quality.

Ella is 17 months old now and she has learned so many new things in 5 months! Her vocabulary is starting to really amaze us.  She picks up new words everyday it seems.  If you ask her to say something she will do her best to repeat it but here are the words she says the most on her own:

She is really in to saying bye bye and hey to any and everything right now.  She says the word "please" constantly if she wants something, which is great, but I think she is starting to abuse that word a little bit.  She thinks it has special powers and in a way she's right, it's a lot harder to say no when she is learning manners.  She also says, "I on see ____(fill in the blank)" when she wants to see something.

Malley Girl's Bday

My sweet niece, Malley, celebrated her first birthday about a month after Ella's birthday.  Kate and Scott had the party at their house in Tuscaloosa and we were all so excited to share her special day with her!

First Birthday Party

Four months later and I'm finally posting pics of Ella's party (so terrible of me).  Since we moved back to Alabama I have been way out of my normal routine and so disorganized.  So I promised myself I would do my best to catch up on the blog this week.

So on New Year's Eve we had Ella's party at Matt and Tammy's.  Sorry Ella, I promise next year we will have your party at our own home.  It was a very simple party with immediate family but very special!

Ella didn't quite make it to midnight to ring in the new year but after having her first cake she was going ninety to nothing before she went to bed.  She had a lot of fun and so did we!
